In quest to find a suitable Varane’s replacement the Red Devils have received a major boost in signing Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah this summer.

Man United Chiefs have labelled England’s and Chelsea defender, Trevor Chalobah – as a good replacement for Varane who’s out of contract at old Trafford this summer.

The Red chiefs are eyeing a replacement for Raphael Varane and Chalobah is reportedly one of their top centre-back targets with Everton’s defenderย  Jarrad Branthwaite also a top target for the English giants.

Meanwhile, Man United have now been handed a boost in the pursuit with Chelsea’s decision to sign Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer.

Adarabioyo’s arrival could pave the way for the departure of Chalobah with the Blues needing to balance their books this month because of FFP Regulations threats.

Sources told Footyvaild that, the Englishman is already preparing for a Chelsea exit the moment Adarabioyo’s transfer was confirmed.

It’s said that Chelsea needs to recoup ยฃ100m from player exits before July 1 and they could offload club graduates. This would represent pure profit for the club. United are interested in Chalobah and could sign him for around ยฃ25m.
