Manchester United have reportedly triggered Mason Greenwood’s year-long contract extension this summer in a bid to try and get a higher fee for the attacker who could be possibly sold this summer.
The young English Striker is yet to find his feet in the club after an assault accusations by his girlfriend which he has always denied, though the Englishman is currently leaving happily with his girlfriend.
Meanwhile, following an internal investigation last year, United concluded that the player would not continue to play for the club after being charged with attempted rape, controlling behaviour and assault in January 2022 – charges that were dropped in February 2023.
Mason Greenwood was recently invited to the Jamaican national team after England’s banishment, and Sources told Footyvaild that the 22-Year-Old honoured the invitation but an official statement about switching aligance is yet to be made.
According to Footyvaild reporters, United are hoping to sell the 22-year-old for £40m this summer, with Juventus, Napoli and Atletico Madrid interested.
