As per Fabrizo Romano, Manchester United Chiefs are close to agreeing fresh terms with manager, Erik ten Hag, whose current deal has a year left to expire at Old Trafford.

According to the popular football journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Dutch manager is on the verge of getting a new deal at Old Trafford which might keep him in the club beyond 2025.

“A new contract extension for Erik ten Hag at Manchester United is getting really close.

Everything is going very well in the negotiations between Ten Hag and Man Utd, and they hope to make it happen as soon as possible” According Fabrizio Romano….

The Dutch and Ex Ajax coach signed a three year deal with the Red Devils when he joined two years back and currently, he takes home a salary of around £173,000 a week, £9 million a year.

In his first season at Old Trafford, The Dutchman won the League Cup, reached the final of the FA Cup and got Man United back into the UEFA Champions League having already missed out in the previous campaign.

In his second season, Erik Ten Hag helped United win the FA Cup against high flying rivals Manchester City, but the Red Devils performance in all other competitions were extremely poor.

The Reds finished 8th, but managed to qualify for the UEFA Europa League after beating Manchester City to win the FA Cup.

Nevertheless, after a considerable amount of time and speculations linking the Dutchman to be sacked, the Man United’s Chiefs has decided to hold on to Ten Hag.
