Man United Close To Defender’s Agreement As Liverpool Pull Out Of The Race

1 min read

Manchester United appear to be one step closer to signing France and Lille highly rated centre-back Leny Yoro this summer.

Following Raphael Varaneโ€™s departure from the club at the end of the season coupled with Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinezโ€™s injury setbacks and Jonny Evansโ€™ advanced age.

Erik ten Hag is in desperate need of some young, rising talent at the back, Leny Yoro looks to be the right fit for the role.

The 18-Year-Old French defender truly showed his worth in what was only his second full season as a professional in Lilleโ€™s first team.

Meanwhile, Sources told Footyvaild that French giants Lille have rejected an initial โ‚ฌ50 million bid from Liverpool for the centre-back, which now gives Manchester United a huge opportunity to step in for the young French man.

According to reports, Lille are reportedly requested a โ‚ฌ60 million opening bid for the player, something United have already come close to with their first bid

Given that Manchester United reportedly have a ยฃ140 million war chest for the summer transfer window, Yoroโ€™s transfer is well within the realms of possibility even before United are able to make any sales.
