Chelsea Ends Striker Interest Due To Overpriced Release Clause Demands

According to reports, Chelsea have been put off making a move for academy graduate Dominic Solanke, at least for the time being, because of a £65million release clause in his contract.

The Chelsea academy graduate has been heavily linked with an exit from the Vitality Stadium this summer after a brilliant campaign on the south coast.

The 26-year-old striker featured 38 times for the Cherries in the Premier League, scoring 19 goals and his impressive performance triggered the eyes of some premier League gaints to make inquiries about the Englishman.

Meanwhile, having confirmed that Chelsea have ended interest on Solonke due to his release clause demands, The blues are expected to make a clear decision over Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran in the near future, according to transfer Journalist, Fabrizio Romano.

Duran has given the green light for the transfer, and the Blues are expected to open talks with Villa over a potential move.

Chelsea are said to prefer a swap deal for the striker. They could offer Ian Maatsen in a straight exchange for the Villa star.

The arrival of Duran at Stamford Bridge could also pave the way for the departure of Armando Broja this summer.

Though, Footyvaild understands that Chelsea’s priority right now is trying to win the race for Michael Olise. Even though they have got the go-ahead to speak to the 22-year-old, Chelsea know it is far from a done deal.
