With reports stating that new manager Enzo Maresca is leading the club’s efforts to bring in the youngster, and showing backing to the Italian would perhaps be a wise move after they have decided to back him with a long-term contract.
The blues are also still in talks with Jamaican striker, Jhon Duran though Chelsea are put off by Aston Villa’s £40m price tag for Jhon Durán, and have some concerns the player is impatient for immediate game time.
