As confirmed by both Clubs, Newcastle United have announced the permanent signing of teenage defender Lewis Hall from Chelsea.
The 19-year-old completed a season-long loan move to the Magpies in August last year which includes an obligation to buy for an initial ยฃ28m plus ยฃ7m in add-ons.
A boyhood Newcastle supporter, Hall made his debut for the club in a thumping 8-0 Premier league win at Sheffield United in September last year and went on to make a total of 22 appearances in all competitions.
Hall scored twice for the Magpies last season and both goals came against Manchester United, firstly scoring in a 3-0 EFL Cup win last November before netting in a 3-2 Premier League defeat in May.
The England Under-21 international has now committed his future to Newcastle, penning a long-term contract and ending his nine-year association with Chelsea, where he made 12 senior appearances.
