The former Leicester manager is keen on bringing in a new pattern to Chelsea as he sets to kick off the new season but how will that tell on players like Cole Palmer?
Chelsea are very much going to change their formation when the new season starts, with a new manager set to lead the Londoners.
In as much as the side weren’t great under Pochettino, they had some good games and several players settled well into certain positions but with the arrival of a new manager and possibly a new play pattern and formation, it’s apparent positions will be swapped.
The new Boss, Enzo Maresca will bring on his 4-3-3 traditional formation to Chelsea and that cause Cole Palmer to either play in a front 3 or drop deeper into the midfield to play alongside Enzo Fernandes and Caicedo which will most likely reduce his free movements.
Palmer has always excelled when allowed to roam freely but with the new pattern coming in, it’s unknown how Palmer will settle into the formation and also if that will affect his performances.
The Blues are still in the transfer market for a possible competition for Nicolas Jackson who have failed to perform but the current manager is still confident he can put the Attacker to speed on how to be better for the side.
