Manchester United Agrees Personal Terms With Another Dutchman

1 min read

According to reports, Manchester United’s Chiefs are pushing the deal for De Ligt as it is much more affordable than they expected and indeed thought possible.

It was initially reported that the Red Devils were unlikely to make a move for the Dutchman as they simply don’t have the budget.

But as it stands, sources told Footyvaild that the young Dutch defender has already agreed personal terms to join the English club this summer.

De Ligt worked before with Ten Hag and the player credits his compatriot as the coach who allowed him to flourish as a professional.

He plays on the right-side of defence and is likely to be poised next to Lisandro Martinez – another former Ajax player – in the starting XI if he comes in.

Footyvaild Understands that Manchester United are targeting next week in order to complete deals for both De Ligt and his Dutch teammate Joshua Zirkzee.

This however does probably hinge on whether or not the Dutch get past Turkey this Saturday in the Euros quarter-finals.

That being said, the Euros end a week on Sunday so either way, if United are making these pair of ยฃ34m moves we shouldnโ€™t have to wait too much longer to find out.
