Chelsea have now confirmed the released of forgotten star defender Malang Sarr, according to reports.
The defender made just eight Premier League appearances for the club in four years, and those appearances were under Thomas Tuchel.
The 25-Year-Old French man is now expected to sign a deal with Ligue 1 side Lens, after he joined Chelsea from Porto on a free transfer in the summer of 2020.
He put pen to paper on a five-year deal worth £100,000 a week.
That means Chelsea have cancelled his contract early, with Sarr picking up £20.8million from his spell at Stamford Bridge.
Footyvaild Understands that Malang Sarr’s imminent departure is a continuation of Chelsea’s summer overhaul.
The Blues have already signed Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Omari Kellyman, Renato Veiga, Marc Guiu and Tosin Adarabioyo so far this window, while Ian Maatsen, Lewis Hall and Omari Hutchinson have been sold.
Additionally, Thiago Silva and Hakim Ziyech have left upon the expiration of their contracts.
Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku and Kepa Arrizabalaga are expected to depart permanently, and the likes of Djordje Petrovic, Cesare Casadei, Conor Gallagher and Armando Broja could also leave.
