According to Chelsea Chronicles one of the Chelsea Owners (Behdad Eghbali) is claimed to be that one figure in particular who could replace Todd Boehly as the chairman of Chelsea.
Mail Sport, also reported that the Blues will appoint a new figure to the role in 2027, however the American will remain involved in the club as Co. Owners.
American billionaire Todd Boehly has been at the helm of the club since the takeover from Roman Abramovich’s tenure at the club which is said to be or acknowledged as the most successful spell in their history.
The pressure of handling Chelsea has been a very serious issue to resolve, With the huge expectation from the fans to produce instant results. This has unfortunately been the case, with it being two seasons in a row now where the Blues are fighting in the mid-table places.
This is all despite them not being shy to spend big money since taking over. The Chelsea new ownership has spent over £1B since the Takeover. And twice the club have smashed their transfer record for the signings of Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo in consecutive windows.
However, chants from the supporters that are not encouraging have been aimed at the American billionaire, and as a knock on result the current manager Mauricio Pochettino who has also failed to consistently yield results.
It has now been claimed that Todd Boehlys time as the chairman is set to come to an end in a few years’ time, and that Behdad Eghbali who’s already overseeing some deals at Chelsea could take over the role.
