DONE DEAL – Manchester United Completes The Signing Of Erik Ten Hag’s Longtime Target

1 min read

According to transfer Journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have finally reached a consensus for the transfer of Manuel Ugarte after long-drawn negotiations over the player’s apt valuation.

Manchester United had already agreed personal terms with the 23-year-old midfielder over a proposed move to Old Trafford, with an agreement between the two clubs the last hurdle to overcome.

The United hierarchy have spent all summer chasing the Uruguay international, who is seemingly considered the ideal fit for Erik ten Hag’s setup.

The Dutchman’s counter-pressing system often leaves plenty of space for his defensive midfielder to cover — a responsibility that Casemiro’s ageing legs have struggled to carry out in the last 12 months.

Moreover, It is understood United will pay an initial €50 million fixed fee plus a further €10m in add-ons, after PSG held out for their €60m valuation of a player they signed for the same price only a year ago.
