Manchester United’s newly appointed manager, Ruben Amorim gets immediate Man united injury boost as forgotten Leftback plays for first time in seventeen months for u-21s.
Dutch defender, Tyrell Malacia has finally made his long awaited return from injury after seventeen months.
The left-back featured for Manchester United Under-21s in their Bristol Street Motors clash with Huddersfield.
Tyrell Malacia put on an encouraging 45-minute display before being taken off at half-time as he continues to build up his fitness and match sharpness.
He was the first signing made under Erik ten Hag, with United’s former manager spending £15m to sign Malacia from Feyenoord.
Two years on, he has just only 39 appearances for the Red Devils.
However, it seems Tyrell Malacia is now in the final stages of his recovery and should soon be available for new head coach Ruben Amorim.
Speaking about Ruben Amorim’s comment on Tyrell Malacia return to injury…
” Good to have him back on the pitch, he’s a good player and I’ve watched him play and hopefully he’ll be important to us as time goes on…” The Portuguese manager said after Malacia 45mins of action with the academyÂ
Moreover, it’s said that Ten Hag was a big admirer of the Dutch left-back but Malacia’s new challenge is to work his way into Amorim’s plans at Old Trafford.
Amorim is expected to introduce a 3-4-3 formation at United, with wing-backs providing width. There has been a lot of talk about who in United’s squad is best suited to those wing-back roles, and that is also the spot Malacia will be targeting.
