Manchester United players only had themselves to blame after suffering defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening.
Things went from bad to worse for Ruben Amorim, who has now lost back-to-back games in the Premier League as Manchester United head coach.
After the loss against Arsenal midweek, the Red Devils were looking to bounce back at Old Trafford but suffered a 3-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest.
After the game, Ruben Amorim downplayed Onana’s performance and said the Cameroonian had his worst game of the season vs Nottingham Forest.
The Red Devils kicked off the second half looking to go and find a winner, but just two minutes later Morgan Gibbs-White was celebrating after his tame effort found its way past Andre Onana.
Onana has been ‘world class’ for United this season but he had an afternoon to forget against Forest.
He made a glaring error for the Gibbs-White goal and it seemed to have an impact on his confidence with Onana giving the ball away sloppily shortly after.
Arguably, Onana has been the Premier League’s best goalkeeper this season after preventing more goals than any other shot-stopper in the division and keeping the most clean sheets. However, he cost United valuable points against Forest.
