Ruben Amorim have been looking to reinforce his teams performance by seeking to add a striker to the United squad.

The Red Devils are in the market for reinforcements, with Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres the dream target after becoming a global superstar under Ruben Amorim in Lisbon

Manchester United will NOT be signing Swedish hot-shot Viktor Gyokeres this month – because of a promise made by manager Ruben Amorim when he left Sporting Lisbon.

It’s said that the sporting Lisbon striker Victor Gyokeres will reportedly push for an exit from his current club in the January transfer window.

The Red Devils have found goals to be a rare commodity this season, scoring just 21 in 19 Premier League matches.

As a result, United have been linked with different attacking options but one link that has refused to go away since Ruben Amorim came on board is with Swedish goal machine, Gyokeres.

Meanwhile, According to several sources close to the operation, the striker has made the decision not to continue waiting for an offer that seems difficult to materialize in this market.

Instead, Gyökeres has opted to take the plunge and speed up his exit from Sporting Lisbon
