Manchester United are eager to secure a reliable striker during the January transfer window.
The Red Devils currently rely on Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee to spearhead their attack. However, given the pair’s struggles to score, reinforcements are necessary.
In recent days, United have been linked to Victor Osimhen and Dusan Vhalovic. Reports suggest that the pair may be considered in player-swap deals, with Marcus Rashford and Zirkzee potentially joining Napoli and Juventus, respectively. Manchester United’s search has now shifted to PSG.
According to recent reports, Manchester United are at the forefront of negotiations to secure Randal Kolo Muani on a loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain, ahead of Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus. The proposed agreement would facilitate the 26-year-old’s temporary transfer to Old Trafford for the remainder of the season.
Nonetheless, Manchester United must navigate competition from Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus, who are equally keen on acquiring Kolo Muani’s services. PSG have long been prepared for the striker’s potential departure, given the substantial interest from elite European clubs. As confirmed by Fabrizio Romano in December, Kolo Muani’s January exit is viewed as increasingly probable, as Luis Enrique continues to overlook the French striker.
In light of Kolo Muani’s peripheral role at Parc des Princes, it is logical that the France international is pursuing regular first-team opportunities elsewhere.
