Aston Villa and England striker Ollie Watkins who’s recently been linked to Chelsea and Manchester United after a wonderful Premier League campaign, has now debunked claims that heโs heard something about Chelsea this season.
Aston Villaโs Ollie Watkins, 28, claims heโs heard a lot of negativity when it comes to Chelsea this season.
However, heโs jumped to the defence of Pochettinoโs side by claiming theyโve not been bad this year and are on the up.
โPeople say Chelsea have had a bad year, but I donโt think they have. Theyโll be even stronger [next season],โ Watkins said via The Mirror.
The English man scored 19 times and provided 13 assists in a brilliant Premier League campaign, he also clinched the Premier League’s playmaker of the year Award.
The 28-Year-Old has been in and around Gareth Southgate โs squad for the past three years and is one of the understudies to skipper Harry Kane.
Watkins scored as many goals as Bournemouth โs Dominic Solanke but his assists total makes him the leading frontrunner to board the plane for Germany next month.
