Aston Villa and England striker Ollie Watkins who’s recently been linked to Chelsea and Manchester United after a wonderful Premier League campaign, has now debunked claims that heโ€™s heard something about Chelsea this season.

Aston Villaโ€™s Ollie Watkins, 28, claims heโ€™s heard a lot of negativity when it comes to Chelsea this season.

However, heโ€™s jumped to the defence of Pochettinoโ€™s side by claiming theyโ€™ve not been bad this year and are on the up.

โ€œPeople say Chelsea have had a bad year, but I donโ€™t think they have. Theyโ€™ll be even stronger [next season],โ€ Watkins said via The Mirror.

The English man scored 19 times and provided 13 assists in a brilliant Premier League campaign, he also clinched the Premier League’s playmaker of the year Award.

The 28-Year-Old has been in and around Gareth Southgate โ€™s squad for the past three years and is one of the understudies to skipper Harry Kane.

Watkins scored as many goals as Bournemouth โ€™s Dominic Solanke but his assists total makes him the leading frontrunner to board the plane for Germany next month.
