New Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, who replaced Mauricio Pochettino as Chelsea boss earlier this summer, is set to bring wholesale changes to the squad.
The Italian gaffer has already frozen the likes of Broja, Chalobah, Kepa and Lukaku out of the Chelsea first team training, and currently Enzo Maresca does not seem too keen on defender Ben Chilwell.
It has thrown Chilwell‘s future into further doubt, with the 27-year-old having already been linked with a move away from Chelsea before his manager’s comments.
However, if the Blues do want to sell Chilwell this summer, it looks like they could run into a couple of stumbling blocks.
He only managed to make 13 appearances in the Premier League last season because of injuries crisis under Maurico Pochettino.
Moreover, during Chelsea’s Pre-season Tour In America – Despite Ben Chilwell being fit, Enzo Maresca decided to go with right-back Malo Gusto in the left-back position instead.
Enzo Maresca also admitted that he’s finding it difficult when trying to find a place Ben Chilwell in his team.
Sources told Footyvaild that Ben Chilwell has been told to find new club, and Chelsea will listen to any offer for the Englishman.
The former Leicester City left-back is being connected with a move to Manchester United amid their concerns in the position at Old Trafford, with Luke Shaw suffering persistent injuries and Tyrell Malacia yet to play in a full year.
