The Blues are already in talks to make a surprising £20M bid for just relegated Burnley keeper and England hopeful James Trafford.
The Chelsea owners sees the young English Goalkeeper, Trafford as a long-term No 1 despite a bumpy start to his Premier League career at Turf Moor last season.
The 21-year-old joined Burnley from Manchester City for a £15m fee last summer following his Young Lions heroics not conceding a single goal as England won the Under-21 Euros.
James Trafford stared for the Young lions of England with the likes of Levi Colwill, Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke who are now all playing for the Chelsea first team.
The young English Goalkeeper made 28 appearances for the Clarets last season, keeping just two clean sheets, and they went on to be relegated from the English top flight just one year are promotion.
Meanwhile, Chelsea stoppers Robert Sanchez and Djordje Petrovic made 21 and 31 appearances across all competitions respectively last summer, but Mauricio Pochettino sticked to Petrovic since December after Robert Sanchez suffered a constant injury problem.
The Spanish goalkeeper Sanchez, had a couple of injuries and this led to development of Serbian Shot-Stopper Djordje Petrovic, he helped the blues secure an Europa conference league football next season.
Meanwhile, it’s unclear why Chelsea are in consideration to sign James Trafford, but according to close sources the blues my be tempted to secure a move away for injury prone Robert Sanchez, who’s yet to prove his marks at Stamford Bridge.
