Chelsea Predicted XI vs Gent – Enzo Maresca Hands 18-year-old His Big Chance

1 min read

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca will ring the changes as Chelsea get their European campaign underway tomorrow night.

The Blues take on Gent in the Conference League group stages, with plenty of players on the cusp of the starting 11 set to get their chance to impress.

It is already known that Cole Palmer, Wesley Fofana and Romeo Lavia will take no part after not being selected in the squad as of yet.

Here’s the expected Starting XI…

Filip Jorgensen; Josh Acheampong, Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile, Renato Veiga; Romeo Lavia, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall; Pedro Neto, Carney Chukwuemeka, Mykhailo Mudryk; Christopher Nkunku

Footyvalid understands that with Malo Gusto only recently back from injury, Maresca will hand 18-year-old Josh Acheampong his first start for the club at right-back.

Moreover, Enzo Maresca’s side have won their past four matches, scoring 13 goals. They are currently the highest-scoring side in the Premier League and sit fourth in the table, two points off leaders Liverpool.

They host a Gent side who have won three of their last four games and sit third in the Belgian Pro League after nine matches this season.
