DEAL CLOSE – Chelsea Advance Striker’s Talks As Club Makes Fresh Demands

2 min read

The transfer deadline date is drawing ever nearer for Chelsea. With less than one week to go until the transfer window closes, there is still a mountain of work that needs to be done.

For Enzo Maresca it may not impact the first-team squad readily available to him but the wider disruption to club plans that a poor end to the summer could have, is huge. The inefficiency of having over 15 players training separately cannot be overstated.

Meanwhile, it is crunch time on the attacking front. Chelsea planned to bring in a senior striker all window and despite shifting targets more than they have done managers under Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital (do allow the cheap shot), no such reinforcement has emerged.

There’s plenty at stake still for the Blues and dwindling time to solve all the many issues.

Moreover, Chelsea have advanced Victor Osimhen’s Talks but it’s said that the blues are in for a loan deal to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

It is understood that the terms now being offered to Chelsea that are far more favourable – although there potentially remains a major stumbling block over the salary.

Other Clubs are also weighing Victor Osimhen’s move, with PSG, Arsenal and Saudi pro clubs like Al Ahli.

Infact, Al Ahli have reportedly launched a move to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli. The Saudi Pro League side see the striker as a key target for this summer to bolster their attack

But Victor Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda has quashed rumors that the striker will move to the Saudi Pro League.

He stated that the Napoli star wanted to stay in Europe and did not plan to move to the Middle East
