Manchester United are reportedly closing in on a deal for Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee after seeing off competition from AC Milan and Arsenal.
After Rasmus Hojlund struggled to make a consistent impact at the top end of the pitch following a big money move from Atalanta last season, Man United Chiefs are keen to boost competition in forward positions and their interest in Netherlands international Zirkzee has been widely reported in recent weeks.
The former Bayern Munich forward is said to be against a move to Arsenal and former Manchester United and Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic revealed Milan are looking elsewhere for a striker after all but conceding defeat in their own attempts to land Zirkzee.
Meanwhile as it stands now the Red Devils have reached an agreement to sign the young Dutch striker this summer.

Transfer Journalist, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the Red Devils have an agreement over personal terms with the 23-year-old forward and talks with Bologna over the makeup of the deal are now reaching a successful conclusion.
Although the striker is believed to have a £35m release clause, United will now have to make a decision over whether to pay the entire fee in one go or pay extra to Bologna via a number of instalments over the years to come.
