As seen this morning, Manchester United’s £60M double transfer deal have arrived at Munich Airport ahead of completing their moves to Old Trafford.
Matthijs De Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui will be excited to work under Erik Ten Hag in England after failing to hit their marks in Germany while playing for Bayern.
Footyvaild Understands that Bayern accepted a bid from United of £38.6m plus £4.3m in add-ons for De Ligt, who was captain of Erik ten Hag’s Ajax side that reached the Champions League semi-final in 2019.
In addition, they are set to pay £12.9m for 26-year-old Morocco defender Mazraoui.
De Ligt has been filmed arriving at Munich airport with a suitcase in hand.
He admitted to the waiting media that “Noussair is waiting for me” as he made his way inside the terminal. New challenges in the Premier League are now ready to be embraced
De Ligt and Mazraoui will undergo medicals in Manchester on Monday. Once those physical tests have been completed, contracts can be signed.
Personal terms have already been agreed, with Dutch centre-half De Ligt set to pen a deal through to 2029 that includes the option for a further 12-month extension.
