Chelsea head coach, Enzo Maresca has declared his full backing for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson especially after the game against Crystal Palace.
The blues missed out on Victor Osimhen this summer, as it’s stand Nicolas Jackson remains Chelsea prolific striker in Maresca’s team.
The Senegal international has had a good start to the Premier League season with two goals from three appearances.
Jackson tapped in the opening goal against palace after good work from Madueke and Palmer on the counter, but contributed little after that.
Though he missed two decent chances in added time and perhaps should have won Chelsea the game.
Moreover despite the missed vital chances, Maresca backed Nicolas Jackson and believes he’ll do better.
I’m very happy. Nicolas is doing a fantastic job with us. He scored again. He had more chances but we’re happy with him.” Enzo Maresca says
Also Speaking after the 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace, Maresca confirmed the contract renewal for the former Villarreal striker.
Maresca confirmed after the match that Jackson is set to sign a new contract at the club, which shows that the club have complete faith in his ability, despite looking to sign a new striker in the transfer window.
“The only thing I know is he’s signing a new contract – I don’t know how many years.
