Enzo Maresca Shifts Blames On Chelsea Fans After 2-2 Draw At Stamford Bridge

Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca surprisingly criticise and blast Chelsea fans for producing a pressurising “environment” which helped Ipswich take a 2-0 lead in Sunday’s draw at Stamford Bridge.

The Londoners hopes of a Champions League spot were dealt a blow as they were held to a 2-2 draw by relegation threaten Ipswich Town, but did come from two behind to claim a point at home.

Meanwhile, Enzo Maresca wasn’t happy with Chelsea fans reactions during the game and urge the fan base to support the team even in difficult times.

Speaking of Enzo Maresca’s words to the fans, Maresca said:

“It’s tough. We lost a bit of confidence, because of the environment. We have to be strong and stick to the plan. We are stronger with our fans. We are a better team. It’s up to them to decide the way. With 0-2 it’s normal to be the way they were.

“I didn’t say the environment is an issue. Our fans have been with us, home and away. In a difficult moment you can expect they are not happy. But those are the moments when the players need more support”

“I’ve always said that with our fans, we are a better team. They have been there all season, all the way.

“Today, in the moment that we are in, a difficult moment, you can expect that they are not happy.

“But at the same time, it is the moment that the players need more support.”
