Enzo Maresca Unhappy With Chelsea Man As Winless Run Continues

Chelsea’s frustrating run of form extended this weekend by dropping more points away at Crystal Palace.

Chelsea only have two points from their last four games in the Premier League after Saturday afternoon’s 1-1 draw against Palace

The Blues went ahead through Cole Palmer’s first-half goal, scoring for the 13th time in the league this season. Jadon Sancho’s provided a magical assist for Palmer’s goal, but it wasn’t enough to earn a win on the road.

Instead, Palace centre-forward Jean-Philippe Mateta tapped in an equaliser in the 82nd minute for the home side at Selhurst Park.

After the game Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca lamented on Chelsea’s display and blamed Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, for not converting the chances created.

“For a striker, sometimes they score all their chances, sometimes they don’t score. He had two or three clear chances today so that means he is there and ready. Hopefully next time he can be more lucky.”

“The important thing is to create chances because that means we are doing the right things but then you need to take those chances”

“We try to be even more intense during the week when we are preparing the game even if the intensity or intention is already top. It’s something we need to improve even if we are one of the best teams at the moment in terms of scoring goals.” Maresca Added…
