Erik Ten Hag has confirmed the absence of some notable Manchester United’s first team Stars from the squad training ahead of the crucial game on Saturday.
The Red Devils will be targeting a much-needed victory when they travel to Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime.
Ahead of this weekend’s long trip south, Manchester United’s manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed the game will come too soon for both Luke Shaw and Rasmus Hojlund. However, deadline day signing Manuel Ugarte is in contention to make his debut.
The Dutchman confirmed that the likes of Leny Yoro, Mason Mount, Luke Shaw, Victor Lindelof, Tyrell Malacia and Rasmus Hojlund are all expected to miss the trip to St. Mary’s Stadium.
Further, fans are anticipating that Manuel Ugarte will make his debut. The new No. 25 played 79 and 90 minutes across two fixtures for Uruguay during the international break, showing that he is very much match-fit despite his awkward pre-season with his former club, Paris St. Germain.
Moreover, Rasmus Hรธjlund returned to individual training once his teammates had jetted off and is fighting to be fit to play against Southampton following his hamstring injury six weeks ago.
Although it is unlikely he will start, he may make the bench, although reports have stated that Ten Hag will be cautious with the striker.
