Chelsea main man, Cole Palmer has commended Man United’s Man for his huge role as the Red Devils secured a point in a challenging 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.
In what was Ruud van Nistelrooy’s second outing as Man United’s interim manager, the team struggled to find their groove against Chelsea.
The home side struggled to gel in the midfield, managing to secure just 46% ball possession and seeing their passes get cut out time and again by the visitors’ determined defence.
Meanwhile, speaking about Manchester Uniteds top performer against Chelsea – Cole Palmer has named summer signing Noussair Mazraoui as the only positivity from the home side.
“From the first minute to the last, he was brilliant and barely put a foot wrong – an impressive feat considering he played at left-back” Palmer Says…
Mazraoui rounded off a sensational display by working hard in attack and defence. His recovery runs were crucial as the midfield was absent often and he even managed to bomb forward regularly in a complete performance.
During the time he was on the pitch, Mazraoui made two clearances and as many interceptions. He also blocked one shot.
The Morocco international successfully put in six tackles. He delved into 16 ground duels and came out on top on 13 occasions.
Mazraoui touched the ball 63 times and successfully found his teammates with 33 of the 36 passes he attempted, managing a pass accuracy of 92%.
