“He Can’t Do It In The Highest Stages” Thomas Frank Sheds On Chelsea Man After What He Did Against Brentford

1 min read

All of the talk as far as Chelsea are concerned following their 2-1 win over Brentford last night seemed to revolve around one player in particular.

The most talking point has to be, Marc Cucurella who scored his first Premier League goal for the Blues to open the scoring in the West London derby, however the drama surrounding him did not end with the final whistle.

The Spaniard was sent off following an altercation with a number of Brentford players, with Enzo Maresca saying the referee told him Cucurella was showing a ‘bad attitude’.

Thomas Frank said after the game that while he was full of praise for the defender’s abilities, he did not like his antics that referred to him winning Chelsea a free-kick late on.

“I think Cucurella is a top player, he is doing well. But I don’t like it when players go to the ground and holding their face [incident in stoppage time]. I will say to Cucurella because I respect him massively.”

“You can’t possess characters like this and expect to be in the bigger stages, he need to learn” Thomas Frank added…

Moreover, after being sent off after the whistle, the Spanish Leftback who’s arguably Chelsea’s most consistent player this season, is set to be banned for one game, with the incident being as a result of two late yellow cards.
