Under fire Erik Ten Hag Man United side surprisingly beat rivals Manchester City 2-1 at Wembley to lift the FA Cup final on Saturday.
Goals from Man United’s Academy boys Garnacho and Mainoo, kept Man United 2-0 up at Halftime. The Doku pulled one back for Pep Guardiola’s boys in the 85th minutes but the Red Devils went on to win 2-1 at Wembley.
Meanwhile, Manchester City Manager Pep Guardiola has labelled England’s Midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, the best player in the United’s squad.
Kobbie Mainoo received widespread praise following his Player of the Match performance for Manchester United in the FA Cup final on Saturday.
The 19-year-old scored what was ultimately the winning goal in the 39th minute, doubling the Red Devils’ lead after Alejandro Garnacho opened the scoring against Manchester City.
Mainoo has enjoyed a breakthrough season for Man United, making 32 appearances in all competitions, and topped it off with the first major silverware of his senior career.
Meanwhile, the FA Cup Finals win at Wembley means that the Red Devils will now be playing Europa League next season having already missed out in the Premier League standings after finishing 8th.
