John Obi Mikel has just delivered his verdict on the recent transfer rumours linking Chelsea with a potential move for Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho.
Man United winger Jadon Sancho, 24 has recently been linked with a possible transfer to Chelsea.
Meanwhile, former Chelsea star John Obi Mikel has claimed that he’d be delighted to see Sancho sign for the Blues during the final few days of the summer window.
He insisted on The Obi One Podcast that the 24-year-old Man United attacker is still a quality player.
When discussing Chelsea’s transfer links with Sancho, Mikel said: “If we can get him through the door at Chelsea, I’d be very, very happy. He’s a fantastic player…
“I think on that side of the pitch we’re very strong. Listen, if we can get a quality player like Jadon, of course you’d be happy to have him. If that happens, I’d be very happy.”
Footyvalid understands that reality is there’s already so many attacking options in Chelsea’s squad that there’s not much room for more.
Noni Madueke, Pedro Neto, Mykhailo Mudryk, Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix are all current options for the Blues to play in wide areas.
