On Sunday, England will face Spain in the Euro 2024 final, with several Chelsea players expected to feature.
Blues pair Cole Palmer and Conor Gallagher are in the Three Lions squad, while club team-mate Marc Cucurella plays for the Spaniards.
Meanwhile Manchester City defender, Kyle Walker has praised his former city teammate ahead of the finals and also discloses the funny name they call him.
England defenders Kyle Walker and John Stones are two of these senior figures in the national squad. They’ve also played alongside Palmer before at Manchester City.
Apparently, the Chelsea and England’s youngster is hilariously nicknamed “the sloth” by them because of his lack of pace.
When discussing Palmer, Walker said via England’s YouTube channel:
“Me and John [Stones] call him the sloth because he just moves so slow, but his body movement just takes you everywhere.”
The Chelsea playmaker really is the complete package and he’s unfortunate not to be starting in England games right now.
It’s a full credit to his character that he’s still able to make the most of every substitute appearance by showing his quality on the ball.
