Man United Tables A Mega £80M Bid To Sign Real Madrid’s Longtime Defense Target As Varane Replacement

Manchester United have reportedly been told that they will need to offer at least £80 million to sign Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite during this summer’s transfer window.

The 21-year-old Englishman, who has been named in England’s preliminary squad for Euro 2024, had an impressive 2023-24 season with Everton.

The English Defender made 41 appearances across all competitions, including 35 in the Premier League, helping Everton win five of their last eight league games.

Meanwhile, current report from Manchester suggested that the Red Devils are only willing to pay £55 million for Branthwaite.

According to close sources, Everton have set the price at £80 million. Despite their financial struggles, Everton are not willing to let Branthwaite go for less than their valuation.

Manchester United are also interested in signing Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer from Fulham, it’s unclear if the United Chiefs will cooled their interest in Branthwaite.

Also, sources told Footyvaild that Spanish Champions Real Madrid are also interested in signing Branthwaite but it’s said to be unlikely this summer, potentially giving Manchester United a clear path to sign the Englishman, although the club may be reluctant to meet the £80 million asking price.
