Manchester United are considering a shocking move for Mexican and West Ham midfielder Edson Alvarez, according to reports.

The Red Devils are in the market for a new central midfielder with Casemiro expected to leave Old Trafford in the summer transfer window.

Footyvaild reporters understands that, United are open to selling Brazilian Midfielder Casemiro as part of a number of departures which will be aimed at boosting their summer transfer budget in Sir Ratcliffe plans for a vibrant squad.

Alvarez, meanwhile, has just finished his first season at West Ham under David Moyes following his ยฃ35 million move from Ajax last summer alongside Ghanaian winger kudus.

Erik ten Hag, who has been kept in place as Manchester United manager by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, worked with Alvarez for three seasons at Ajax and the 26-Year-Old Mexican explored under the Dutch manager.
