According to reports Manchester ester United have reached an agreement with French club Marseille over the transfer of forward Mason Greenwood.
Greenwoodโs future has been the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks and according to The Athleticโs David Ornstein, Marseille are just one step away from landing him ahead of all other interested parties.
The Red Devils decided against their initial plans to reintegrate Greenwood into their first-team setup last year and he spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Getafe.
The English forward was suspended by United back in January 2022 after being arrested on suspicion of rape and assault.
Meanwhile, Marseille have agreed a ยฃ26.7m deal with United to sign Greenwood, with ยฃ23.3m to be paid up front and a further ยฃ3.4m to come in add-ons.
The Premier League club have negotiated a significant sell-on clause into the deal, though Greenwood is still yet to agree personal terms over the move.
