According to reports Manchester United are reportedly set to submit a renewed offer for Everton and England’s centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite after their initial first bid was rejected.
The English defender, who surprisingly missed out on a spot in Gareth Southgateโs England squad for Euro 2024, has emerged as the Red Devilโs top centre-back target this summer after Raphael Varane’s departure.
Man United’s first bid is said to be between ยฃ35m and ยฃ45m including add-ons, was immediately rejected by Everton.
Close source to the Toffees told Footyvaild reporters, that Everton are keen on a follow up offer from Manchester United, the Englishman is valuable at ยฃ80M.
According to the Daily Mail, the United’s Chiefs are readying a second bid for Branthwaite, though it is expected to be below Evertonโs asking price of ยฃ80m.
It’s said that the Toffees are determined to keep the English defender beyond this summer, but offers around ยฃ70m could be considered due to their financial situation at the club.
