Manchester United overturned Manchester City 2-1 to reign victorious in the FA Cup final.
Two first-half goals, which came just nine minutes apart, from Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo were enough to edge past the previous holders of the cup and have Unitedโs name etched on the trophy for the first time since 2016.
Amidst the elation of the United faithful, itโs worth noting that todayโs triumph also books the side into next termโs Europa League group stages, ensuring European football will be played at Old Trafford in 2024/2025.
Mainoo was, unsurprisingly, named Player of the Match, but numerous players were in contention, as all did their bit to make sure they made it over the line.
United had a dream start at Wembley on Saturday afternoon, scoring twice in the first half and limiting City to barely a sniff.
With Garnacho and Mainoo scoring, they joined Cristiano Ronaldo (2004) and Norman Whiteside (1983), as the third and fourth teenagers to score in the final for United.
