England’s striker, Mason Greenwood is close to ending his difficult Manchester United career by moving to French Club Marseille.
Mason Greenwood briefly returned to the Manchester United training complex for the first time in two-and-a-half years on Monday to discuss his probable departure.
The 22-Year-Old who was accompanied by his father, did not participate in the United first team’s first training session of pre-season as the club have received bids from Lazio and Marseille for the forward.
It is understood United are in advanced talks with Marseille and the club held constructive talks with Greenwood about his future.
Marseille have already moved ahead of Lazio, Atletico Madrid and Valencia in the race to sign Greenwood with talks at an advanced stage.
The French club are believed to have made an offer worth £25million plus add-ons and a substantial sell-on fee, although the two clubs have discussed a loan deal with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.
