“Not Good Enough” Frank Lampard Shed On Chelsea Star After Manchester United’s Draw

Enzo Maresca’s boys left Old Trafford with a point on Sunday after their clash against Manchester United.

The blues came from behind to record a 1-1 draw at Man United in the Premier League, which means they now sit fourth in the premier League table.

Meanwhile, Chelsea legend Frank Lampard offered his views on Malo Gusto after his performance at Old Trafford this weekend.

The 21-year-old right-back kept his starting position versus Man United, where he showed his usual willingness to get forward into very high attacking positions, but he was taken off at half-time.

“It’s a big part of the game, moving the full-backs particularly higher up the pitch. Gusto has been doing it very well. He got into some good positions in the first half without being effective in the final bit,” Lampard said on Sky Sports Premier League.

Moreover, Maresca previously explained the importance of Gusto in Chelsea’s system. However, there’s an argument to be made the balance looks better when James is on the right and Cucurella is on the left

It’ll be interesting to see what the Blues head coach does moving forward in the full-back area because there’s real competition for places.

It’s quite obvious that James isn’t being used yet to fly forward and support the attack, which perhaps is a sign of his fitness as he recovers from another injury. Therefore, Gusto or Cucurella are more likely to be the defenders higher up the pitch.
