OFFICIAL – Manchester United Prepare Ruben Amorim’s Dismissal If One Target Is Not Met

2 min read

Manchester United’s new manager, Ruben Amorim, is already facing uncertainty about his future at the club. Following Erik ten Hag’s departure, Amorim’s appointment was seen as a swift solution by INEOS. However, the Portuguese tactician has struggled to turn things around.

Amorim’s arrival was met with excitement, given his successful tenure at Sporting CP, where he earned comparisons to Jose Mourinho. Nevertheless, his Manchester United side has continued to underperform.

Sunday’s defeat to Tottenham Hotspur marked the Red Devils’ 12th Premier League loss this season, a dismal record that raises concerns about Amorim’s ability to lead the team. This level of performance has not been seen since the 1973/74 season, when Manchester United was relegated. As a result, Amorim’s long-term prospects at Old Trafford are being reevaluated.

Manchester United are reportedly already considering replacing Ruben Amorim, despite his recent appointment, due to his inability to establish a clear team identity and achieve consistent positive results.

According to reports, the club’s ownership, INEOS, plan to retain Amorim until the end of the season, unless a catastrophic situation forces them to take immediate action.

However, the United board has allegedly begun evaluating potential alternatives for the managerial position ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Premier League outfit is said to be seeking a manager capable of transforming them into serious European contenders. Consequently, high-profile candidates like Zinedine Zidane, Thomas Tuchel, and Mauricio Pochettino may be under consideration.

Given INEOS’ swift decision to part ways with Dan Ashworth after a lengthy pursuit, it’s plausible that they may act quickly to replace Amorim if his performance doesn’t improve.
