Paul Scholes Picks Between Cole Palmer And Kobbie Mainoo After Euros Show

The former Man United midfielder has lauded English team for qualifying into the semi finals of the Euros.

Scholes didnโ€™t hold back in applauding the players after seeing them beat Switzerland to head into the semi finals after a penalty shootout.

The Three Lions despite trailing late in the second half managed to get back in the game following a superb goal by Bukayo Saka.

Players like Cole Palmer and Jude Bellingham and Kobbie Mainoo were standouts as the side cruised into the next round of the competition. Fans also have been speaking of Cole Palmerโ€™s composure off and on the ball with the youngster taking the first penalty kick and scoring.

Paul Scholes has been vocal in his praise for both Cole Palmer and Kobbie Mainoo, highlighting their impressive performances. Scholes remarked, “Cole Palmer has been phenomenal this season, demonstrating consistency and impact. His 19 goal contributions highlight his significant role at Chelsea.”

He added, “Kobbie Mainoo is an exceptional talent. His ability to control the game and make the team play football is reminiscent of Toni Kroos and Rodri. Having him on the field can free up players like Jude Bellingham to excel further”

However, Scholes indicated a preference for Palmer over Mainoo, stating, “While both are incredible talents, if I had to choose one to start, Iโ€™d go with Cole Palmer. His consistent goal involvement and ability to perform in crucial moments give him the edge for me”

Scholes emphasized the challenge for England’s manager, Gareth Southgate, in integrating these young talents effectively into the national team setup, suggesting that their inclusion could make a significant difference.
