Manchester United suffered a second consecutive defeat, as they slipped to a 3-2 loss at the hands of Nottingham Forest.
Goals from Nikola Milenkovic, Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Wood were all Forest needed to clinch all three points and pile further misery on Ruben Amorim and his players.
Moreover, Rasmus Hojlund and Bruno Fernandes grabbed two vitals United’s goals to reduce the deficit.
At fulltime, Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand reacted to Andre Onana’s performance against Forest.
In an interview with Footyvalid reporters,
“What was he doing for Forest’s second goal? Rio Ferdinand asked…
“Send him to the reserve team at least to play with the young boys for sometimes”
“If that went in in an under-eight game, and the keeper let that in, you’d go, ‘What are you doing?’ It’s straight at him and he dives out of the way!”
Morgan Gibbs-White fired it straight at him but he somehow fluffed his lines and allowed it to roll past him. Was equally at fault for Chris Wood’s goal, as he just stood there while the ball went in, failing to even try and intervene. Undoubtedly his worst performance of the season.
It looked like it would be a regulation save for the United gloveman.
However, Onana had already fallen towards the right and could only watch as the ball rolled past his outstretched left leg.
