Sir Alex Ferguson Points Out 4 Mistakes Ruben Amorim Made In Brighton’s Lost

2 min read

Ruben Amorim’s team couldn’t make it consecutive home wins, with Brighton proving to be a nightmare again for them as they lost 3-1 at Old Trafford.

Manchester United’s legendary manager, Sir Alex Ferguson who was live at Old Trafford to watch the team, was let down by the teams performance against Brighton.

In an interview with Footyvalid reporters, Alex Ferguson Points Out mistakes that Amorim needs to correct, moving forward.

Demand For New Recruitments

First of all, Sir Alex Ferguson has called on the United board members to get new signings with immediate effect.

The current Man United set of players have failed to live the expectations and the fans are getting tired already, the Red Devils sits 13th on the premier League table with less than 16 games to end the season.

Fresh signings will boost the team and fix the weakness, especially in the striking department and maybe defense aspect too.

Backing Andre Onana Despite Poor Form…

The Cameroonian keeper started the season strongly but his form has fallen off a cliff in the last month or so.

He has failed to impress in numerous outings but after the failure to deal with Brighton’s second cross, a calamitous moment saw United concede their third.

Under little pressure, Onana incredibly pushed the ball to Georginio Rutter, who gratefully passed the ball into an empty net

Poor Home Winning Mentality

After the poor performance at home to Southampton on Thursday, United would have wanted to jump right out of the blocks today.

Ruben Amorim’s side have fallen behind in the first half against Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth, Newcastle United and Southampton lately at Old Trafford.

After just five minutes Yankuba Minteh had already broken the United defensive line.

United responded midway through the first half with a Bruno Fernandes penalty but falling behind so often, so early at home must soon stop if the side are to create any sort of momentum in terms of positive results.

Addressing Noussair Mazraoui Weakness

Lastly, Sir Alex Ferguson advised Ruben Amorim to have a personal talk with Noussair Mazraoui, in quest to boost his confidence.

Mazraoui has inarguably been the most impressive summer signing, especially relative to the transfer fee but he seems to be hitting a wall in recent games.

Once pegged as injury-prone, he has been ever-present for United and perhaps that workload is finally showing in lethargic performances.

Mitoma had him on toast all game and he was arguably at fault for both goals. Unfortunately, United don’t have numbers there to rest him.

The Moroccan has had a thankless job and still made the best of it but he’s finally feeling the effects.
