Robert Sanchez who was one of Chelsea’s top performers against Nottingham Forest on Sunday was actually the man between the sticks.
The Spanish Goalkeeper pulled off a string of fine saves to at times keep the Blues in the game, with them eventually drawing 1-1.
Meanwhile, after the game Sanchez revealed that he’s unhappy with both Marc Cucurella and Wesley Fofana, the Chelsea duo both passed the threshold for too many bookings, and will miss the upcoming fixture after the international break.
Sanchez has warned his teammates that they need to stop with talking to the officials, which at this stage sees players earn themselves an easy yellow card.
He said to BBC Sport: “Massive players but it was unlucky. They need to stop talking to the officials. We have some very good players to come in.”
It is likely going to be Tosin Adarabioyo and Renato Veiga who slot into the side after the international break, with both knocking on the door for starts anyway with very impressive displays so far.
Many players who have been on the fringes of the starting XI in the Premier League have been waiting patiently for their opportunity, and now Adarabioyo and Veiga have the chance to prove they should be considered for more minutes off the back of this.
