Former Man United forward, Wayne Rooney has run out of words to explain Amad Diallo’s heroic performance against Southampton at Old Trafford.
Ruben Amorim will be happy to see Manchester United get back to winning ways with a 3-1 against relegation battling Southampton in the Premier League, although the performance against the saints raises more questions than answers.
Meanwhile, a 12-minute hat-trick from the Ivorian winger sealed the win for United as he became the second youngest player for the club to score three goals in one match after Wayne Rooney.
It was the first hat-trick scored by a United player since Cristiano Ronaldo netted three times in a 3-2 win over Norwich back in 2022.
The win didn’t seem likely for 80 minutes, but Amad inspired a stunning comeback on a night United desperately needed a win.
Moreover, Wayne Rooney’s mouth was full of Amad Diallo’s praises at full time after the individual performance he pulled in front of United’s Fans.
“He did a great job, is a great moment for a young kid to score a hat-trick for a club like this but he needs to focus and push for more games, this is already in the past and him Future he’ll do great things.” Rooney says as he praises Amad Diallo
The ex Manchester United Man also insisted that Ruben Amorim’s team will rely on Amad Diallo in their upcoming games in guest for a top four, following his late heroics in the comeback victory over Southampton.
